If you’re like me, you’re probably counting down the days until the next general election. Fortunately, we have an early opportunity to elect a conservation leader to the Florida House. In less than two weeks, the state will hold a special election in House District 72 in Sarasota County.
It is my privilege to inform you that Florida Conservation Voters Action Fund has endorsed Margaret Good in this race.
Margaret is a champion of natural Florida and committed to getting our state on track to face the growing threats of climate change and sea-level rise. I have no doubt that Margaret will become an immediate leader in Tallahassee — something the people of Sarasota deserve.
If you live in House District 72, this special election will be held on Tuesday, February 13. But early voting starts tomorrow, Saturday, February 3. Click here for early voting hours and location information.
Now is the time to get active to support future conservation leaders. You can help, no matter where you live, by taking a few hours over the next two weeks to make phone calls for the Good campaign. Click here to visit the phone bank website. And if you have questions, you can email the campaign field director at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Or, if you can spend some time canvassing with the Good campaign (it’s the perfect time of year to be outside in Sarasota!), please click here to sign up. Someone from Good’s staff will contact you. There are events happening this weekend!
